RPL MAISON

RUPERT PETER LANDENDINGER (RPL) GREW UP IN A ROCOCO CASTLE IN THE BAVARIAN COUNTRYSIDE, WHICH HAD A PROFOUND INFLUENCE ON HIM. HIS EARLIEST MEMORIES REVOLVE AROUND THE ORNATE ROOMS, HIGH CEILINGS, ARRESTING ARTWORK AND MIRRORS IN THE ENORMOUS INTERIOR. IN THE REGAL SURROUNDINGS OUTSIDE WAS A LUSH GARDEN WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF FRAGRANT FLOWERS. A MEMORY MIXED WITH THE SCENTS EMANATING FROM THE SUCCULENT FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND THE DEEP FOREST NEARBY. Nowdays they call hom the king of perfumes RPL.

RPL description: THE BEAUTY. THE GRANDEUR. THE AMBIENCE. THE INTOXICATING INTERMINGLING OF AROMAS. IT ALL SPARKED A PASSION FOR SCENTS, LEAVING AN INDELIBLE IMPRESSION ON HIM FOREVER.

AT AGE 16, LANDENDINGER JOURNEYED TO TUNISIA AND EXPERIENCED THE EXOTIC AROMAS FROM THE SOUKS FOR THE FIRST TIME. MESMERISED, HE WATCHED PERFUMERS PREPARING ENTICING CONCOCTIONS OF SPICES AND HERBS AND REVELLED AT THEIR HIGHLY ATTUNED SKILLS.

AND WE ARE SO HAPPY TO SHARE HIS COLLECTION OF PERFUMES AND ROOM SPRAY AT BALLROOM BLITZZ. PICTURES WILL BE POSTED SOON, STAY TUNED!

TASCHEN DESIGNER BOOKS AT BALLROOM BLITZZ

Taschen Designer Books at Ballroom Blitzz: Thank you for being such a nice collaboration with us from the very start at Ballroom Blitzz. Taschen is an art book publisher founded in 1980 by Benedikt Taschen in Cologne, Germany. The company began as Taschen Comics, publishing Benedikt’s extensive comic collection. Taschen has been a noteworthy force in making lesser-seen art available to mainstream bookstores, including some fetishistic imagery, queer art, historical erotica, pornography and adult magazines (including multiple books with Playboy magazine). Taschen has helped bring this art into broader public view, by publishing these potentially controversial volumes alongside its more mainstream books of comics reprints, art photography, painting, design, fashion, advertisinghistory, film, and architecture.

If you are interested in Taschen Designer books you know were you can find them! We have all from Kate Moss to David Bowie and The God Father at Ballroom Blitzz.
